cenote dive guide registration

The CREER registration system has been developed for cave diving professionals to simplify the application process for the new “Guía de Buceo en Cenote” certificate. This certification will soon be required to access and guide in most cenotes across Quintana Roo.

Through this system, participants can complete the entire registration in one step by entering their personal and professional information, signing the statement of responsibility, the letter of acceptance and commitment to follow cenote diving regulations, and completing the medical questionnaire. All necessary forms will be provided during the registration process for review and signature, while all other required documents can be uploaded directly to the system.

Registration is free of charge and should take no longer than 15 minutes, provided all documents are ready for upload.

Before initiating your registration, we strongly recommend that applicants carefully review the Manual for Cenote Dive Guides. This document outlines the professional standards and operational requirements expected from certified Cenote Dive Guides.

Be part of the initiative! Enjoy the results of your direct contribution during your next visit!

The ever-increasing number of visiting divers to our mesmerizing cenotes requires hundreds of permanent system markers as they get worn out with time and a number of cavern and cave lines to be replaced and constantly updated.

Further, we like our CREER Rescue Team to be prepared in case of an incident/accident by installing “emergency go-bags” in several locations.

There is also work in process to install signposts, presenting information of the cenotes and the fascinating hydrology, so divers can learn more about them.

And, we need to upkeep our website to provide updates as well as to maintain the different registration systems.

Moderators are volunteering their time to discuss and implement those projects, but all costs money…LOTS of money!

Please donate today and help us raise funds to maintain a safe environment in the cenotes for everyone!
