ACREDITACIÓN
Todo centro de buceo o guía profesional que exhiba este distintivo ha asumido un compromiso con la seguridad en el buceo y la conservación del entorno frágil de los cenotes, entre otras cosas:
- Todos los guías de buceo están debidamente formados y acreditados.
- Los buzos sólo son llevados a cenotes adecuados a su nivel de formación y experiencia.
- Antes de cada inmersión se dará un briefing exhaustivo y se respetarán los límites de seguridad de los gases.
- Los guías están formados en procedimientos de rescate, primeros auxilios y administración de oxígeno.
- El cupo de participantes por guía es de 1:3 para cenotes expertos (a partir del nivel 4) y de 1:4 para otros cenotes (niveles 1, 2 y 3).
- Los buceos se realizarán teniendo en cuenta la seguridad y la conservación, manteniéndose cerca de la línea guía y evitando el contacto con el suelo y las formaciones de la caverna.

ACCREDITATION
Any dive facility or professional guide displaying this badge has made a commitment to diving safety and conservation of the fragile cenote environment including:
- All dive guides are properly trained and accredited.
- Divers are only taken to cenotes appropriate to their level of training and experience.
- A comprehensive briefing will be given before each dive and safe gas limits will be followed.
- Guides are trained in rescue procedures, first aid and oxygen administration.
- Maximum guide to diver ratios of 1:3 for expert cenotes (as of Level 4) and 1:4 for other cenotes (Level 1, 2 & 3).
- Dives will be conducted with safety and conservation in mind, staying close to the guideline and avoiding contact with the cavern floor and formations.

No importa el nivel, todos los cenotes son espectaculares, cada uno tiene sus propias características así como sus peligros. Los niveles de los cenotes son establecidos por CREER (Comité Regional de Espeleobuceo, Ecología y Regulación), que representa los intereses de la comunidad de buceo en cuevas en Quintana Roo, con los principios rectores basados en estructurar y unificar las reglas de buceo en cenotes, con énfasis en la seguridad para prevenir accidentes y en la conservación para proteger el frágil ambiente de las cuevas.

No matter of the level, all cenotes are spectacular, each having its own characteristics as well as its hazards. Divers are reminded, regardless of certification level and experience, that cenote diving takes place in the overhead environment and goes beyond recreational open water diving and that extreme caution must be taken when diving in the cavern zone. Respect the established recommendations and always follow the instructions of your certified CREER Cenote Dive Guide.
Cenote Levels are established by CREER (Comité Regional de Espeleobuceo, Ecología y Regulación), which represents the interests of the cave diving community in Quintana Roo, with the guiding principles based on structuring and unifying the rules of diving in cenotes with an emphasis on safety to prevent accidents and on conservation to protect the fragile cave environment.

Cada vez más buzos están descubriendo la magia de nuestros cenotes, y con ello surge la responsabilidad compartida de mantenerlos seguros y sostenibles.
CREER (Comité Regional de Espeleobuceo, Ecología y Regulación), un grupo sin ánimo de lucro y autorregulado de instructores y guías de buceo en cuevas, trabaja para mantener nuestro mundo subacuático seguro, estandarizado y respetuoso con el medio ambiente.
Por eso estamos recaudando fondos para continuar con proyectos vitales que mantienen nuestros sitios, y nuestra comunidad, fuertes:
• Reemplazar y actualizar las líneas de cuevas y cavernas para que todos los buzos puedan explorar con seguridad.
• Renovar cientos de marcadores permanentes del sistema que se desgastan con el tiempo.
• Instalar «bolsas de emergencia» para que nuestro Equipo de Rescate CREER pueda responder de inmediato con el equipo adecuado cuando más se necesita.
• Añadir carteles educativos para ayudar a los visitantes a aprender más sobre los cenotes y su extraordinaria hidrología.
• Mantener nuestro sitio web y nuestros sistemas de registro para poder manteneros informados y apoyar a la comunidad local y visitante de buceo en cuevas durante todo el año.
Nuestros moderadores, guías e instructores dedican su tiempo y pasión de forma voluntaria para que todo esto sea posible, pero, como puedes imaginar, los materiales y la logística cuestan dinero… a veces mucho.

CREER (Comité Regional de Espeleobuceo, Ecología y Regulación), a non-profit, self-regulated group of cave diving instructors and guides, works to keep our underwater world safe, standardized, and environmentally responsible.
That’s why we’re raising funds to continue vital projects that keep our sites—and our community—strong:
• Replacing and updating cave and cavern lines so every diver can explore safely.
• Renewing hundreds of permanent system markers that wear out over time.
• Installing emergency “go bags” so our CREER Rescue Team can respond immediately with the right equipment when it’s needed most.
